The Representative Office of the Honorary Consul of Hungary for the Republic of Indonesia in Bandung was inaugurated on Thursday, May 2, 2024. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Hungarian Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Lilla Karsay, the Honorary Consul of Hungary in the Republic of Indonesia in Bandung, Dr. Reza A Maulana, Msc, and the Head of Cooperation at Bandung City’s Secretariat, Bariati Ratna Aju, SH., SE., as well as other invited guests.
The opening of the office, located at Wisma HSBC, Jl. Asia Afrika 116, Bandung, marks a new chapter in bilateral relations between Hungary and Indonesia, particularly in business, education, social, and cultural fields. The office aims to facilitate and develop mutually beneficial partnerships between businesses and organizations from both countries.
“The establishment of this office is an important step in our efforts to promote deeper cultural exchanges, economic collaboration, and diplomatic relations between Hungary and Indonesia, especially in Bandung,” said H.E. Lilla Karsay, Hungarian Ambassador to Indonesia. “We hope to share and celebrate the rich heritage and traditions of Hungary and Indonesia by promoting mutual understanding and appreciation of each other’s cultures,” she continued.
“The presence of this office is expected to facilitate and develop mutually beneficial partnerships between businesses and organizations from both countries. By creating an environment where Hungarian and Indonesian companies can thrive together, we aim to create opportunities for trade and investment, as well as lay the foundation for sustainable and beneficial economic growth for both countries,” said Reza A Maulana, Honorary Consul of Hungary in the Republic of Indonesia in Bandung.
The opening of the Honorary Consul Office of Hungary for the Republic of Indonesia in Bandung was also positively responded by the Bandung City Government. “In addition to economic cooperation, it is expected that both countries can share and celebrate the rich heritage and traditions of Hungary and Indonesia, particularly in the Bandung area. This cultural diplomacy will enrich the lives of the citizens and strengthen the bonds of friendship between the two countries,” said Bariati Ratna Aju, Head of Cooperation at Bandung City’s Secretariat.
The opening ceremony of the Honorary Consul Office of Hungary in Bandung concluded with appreciation for all parties who supported this event. With strong support, it is hoped that relations between Hungary and Indonesia will become closer and bring benefits to both countries.
